The short version
Since April 2024 I have translated WordPress and the tools around it into Marathi, 21 projects so far. It started at an rtCamp contributor day and turned into the part of my week that I do only because I want to.

WordPress core (6.1, 6.2, 6.8 and 7.1 in development), Twenty Twenty-Four, Create Block Theme, the Pattern Directory, Patterns, the Plugin Directory, WordCamp.org, WordPress.org, Learn WordPress, WordPress for Android, Contact Form 7, Web Stories, Safe SVG, Safe Redirect Manager, WordPress Importer, PDF.js Viewer, GoZen Engage and Spotlight News.
How the work goes
Suggest, review, repeat. Each string gets checked against the Marathi glossary and against how the same word is already translated elsewhere in WordPress, because a word translated two ways is a word a person has to learn twice.
Beyond translation
The same contribution habit led to code: pull requests to Gutenberg, including a fix for a flaky test in the Interactivity API router in July 2026, and the Plugin Developer badge for GoDAM.
